My Experience with Limiting Beliefs and Drammatizing

Strangely enough I spent a lot of time dramatizing. Sometimes this tendency comes from childhood trauma. And sometimes people can take advantage of it. For example, if you have an idea that other people don’t want you to do, they can plant certain seeds of fear in you and take you completely down in that spiral. I’m not blaming anyone. I’m just showing you guys what can happen if you are not truly embodied in who you are. So, it’s like always thinking of the worst thing that can happen and always keeping yourself in a small container in which you feel safe.

I became that this was happening in my life. I started to think that I want to become one of those people who don’t worry. I used to have full-blown panic attacks. So I put it out in the Universe: what is it about those women who don’t worry.

And two things came to my self-awareness. One was that it was an addiction of negative thoughts. And two that those addictions were also in my body. IDMR is an effective type of therapy to resolve any difficult issues from the past.

So let’s start by defining what do I mean by inner work.

What Is Inner Work

Inner work to me is deconstructing your filters. We human being are different from other spices. When we are born we have certain instincts like we know how to cry and suckle from other mother’s breasts, but we also pick up everything else from our environment.

A little child is like a sponge. If you study the brain of a child up to six years old, they pick up things that we adults don’t even notice.

What happens then is that that becomes the lens that you see the world. Some people say, I didn’t go through abuse in my childhood, so I don’t need the inner work. If everything’s great, maybe you have no inner work to do. But most of us have some inner work to do. Sometimes it’s as little as your parents favoring your sibling a couple times in your childhood. Sometimes those little things can really layer on. You could turn that into a thing and that may be the inner work that you need to do. Whatever’s going on in the inside is showing up in the outside.

The Need for More Information

One of the things you need to be careful is that you brain can trigger you to think that information is inner work. Information is not inner work. Trauma is stored in your body. Your brain is trying to protect you and it numbs up your body. The brain thinks that it’s doing you a favor. It bumped up the pain but it also numbed up the joy.

So if you read some books and you watch some YouTube videos. Your brain numbed your body up for a reason. So, it’s like telling your brain, could you not numb me? Once you start going into your body, you’ll start asking a lot of question. Secondly, you’ll see that you start looking for wholes in what the teacher has to say. So, that is usually a sign. If you’re taking in more information you might need to pause yourself and say “is there something in there that needs to be released?”. I’ve gone through a lot of mentors and coaches myself.

How Do I Know If My Inner Work Is Working

If you do inner work, you should start feeling really calm, happy, your body image issues will start resolving. I get excited when I’m triggered because it’s an opportunity to work on your triggers.

You’ve stored your trauma in your body for years and years, it might need some work. It’s usually going to be a process. And the really big paradox of inner work is: the slower you go the faster you heal. The faster you try to go, that may be the ego saying, we have moved on, but it’s the tendency to not go in there. So, how do you know your inner work is working? If you do your money inner work, your money situation changes. You want to do the different layers of inner work. I recommend that everyone start with the basics. Once you can start releasing the core stuff, you will have the tools to do your inner work for the rest of your life.

Work in layers so that you can keep going on it. There’s no point in staying stuck in the past. Like imagine, if someone put a backpack on you when you were five years old and you’re still carrying that backpack for the rest of your life. Remove it, and you can put on whatever you want.

The “Yes, and …” Technique

So, what I had tried before was trying to stop my panic attacks and my negative thoughts. Then I decided that I was going to flow with them. So if a thought pops up, don’t say the word “no”, but say “yes, and…”. So when a negative thought would pop up, I would say yes, and take it to a more positive direction.

Trying to go against the programming doesn’t work.

So what do you do? You re-program it. Use this technique until it becomes your natural way of being. I started noticing that I started activating my voice more. Life just started blossoming.

Instead of going into resistance, you go with the flow if your thoughts. Saying yes, and disarms the negativity. This was a really fun way. I find this work to be life-changing that it gives you so much power.

One of the biggest things that happened to be was that my core beliefs changed. Now my core beliefs are: everything it’s working out for me. My core belief is that the Universe is conspiring to make everything working out for me. It’s always an uplifting energy versus dramatizing. This is literally one of the container techniques out of hundreds that I will be sharing with you on the August 23 online intensive.

We have energetic set points for weight. We have energetic set points for the love that we are able to receive. So, there is a set point for everything. Even when you get the man, you will make sure that you keep the relationship very shallow level. So, when there’s no training on how to receive a certain amount of joy, you will go back to your emotional set point.

Your nervous system would rather be comfortable even at the cost of keeping you stuck.
